Machu Picchu

The iconic Lost City of the Incas, located on top of a hill in Peru’s Sacred Valley, was constructed in the 15th century but remained hidden from the outside world until its rediscovery by explorer Hiram Bingham in 1911.

Fog behind Machu Picchu
Ancient Inca city

What most astonished us was the precision of Inca stonework, characterised by expertly cut and fitted stones without the use of mortar. The panoramic views and lush greenery do not disappoint either and make this a both refreshing and culturally mandatory visit when traveling Peru.

Rural Cusco is where the beauty of nature and the warmth of the people touch your heart in ways you'll never forget: Visit Chinchero and watch skilled weavers create beautiful textiles using natural dyes and alpaca wool, join colorful street parades, and gaze in awe at the majestic snow-covered Andes.

Wifala Harmony Hotel

The house of no straight lines. A unique story behind every form, every texture and color. This unconventional hotel in Urubamba is pure magic. Without a doubt the weirdest and most special piece of architecture I have ever seen and stayed at.

Enchanting entrance

We had the extreme privilege to meet the peruvian architect in person and learn so much about organic architecture from both a design and engineering perspective and the many stories behind Wifala Harmony. Thank you for your humbleness, wisdom and for deeply inspiring us. Until we meet again, hasta la próxima.

Salineras de Maras

Dating back to pre-Inca times, these salt pans are a true natural spectacle. Crafted into terraced pools, they create a mesmerising patchwork against the Andean landscape. The Salineras are operated by local families, solely utilising natural salt springs that bubble up from the earth. Tip: It’s the perfect day trip while staying at Wifala Harmony.
