From simple fishing village to world-renowned surf destination: Despite its development in recent years, Taghazout managed to retain its original charm and laid-back vibe, creating a harmonious balance between the past and present.

Start your day off right by surfing some of the most famous spots along the coast. Indulge in a delicious Moroccan breakfast (try Amlou!). Connect with yourself during yoga in the afternoon. As the day winds down, bask in the glory of the most magical sunsets while locals catch the last waves.

World of Waves, one of the first beachfront restaurants I discovered during my first visit in 2017

Surfing in Morocco is not just a sport, it's a way of life. It's about connecting with like-minded individuals who share your passion for the ocean and the joy of being alive. Pack your bags, grab your board, the waves are waiting!

Taghazout Skatepark

Probably the world’s best skatepark. Watch both local kids and young adults shred and showcase their best tricks against a stunning ocean backdrop, especially during sunset when the air cools down and the atmosphere becomes electric.

The simple way of life.

Aourir Souk

Every Wednesday, the town Aourir, also known as Banana Village, comes alive with a vibrant and bustling market. Locals and visitors alike gather to shop for everything from fresh produce and spices to textiles and crafts. You'll be enchanted by the sights, sounds, and smells of the market as vendors offer their wares in a colorful and chaotic atmosphere.

Imsouane

Go on a little road trip up north to Imsouane, a village famous for it’s waves, the bohemian lifestyle and free-spirited energy. Surfing enthusiasts flock to Imsouane for its legendary right-hand waves that almost seem infinite. It's easy to fall in love with Imsouane's relaxed way of life, where time seems to stand still and the days blend seamlessly into each other.
