COSTA BRAVA
Cataluña • Spain

Costa Brava must be my favourite mediterranean summer destination. Each summer, people from Barcelona and beyond flock to its enchanting calas to bask in the gentle sea breeze, explore countless hidden coves and enjoy fresh seafood in picturesque fishing villages. Keep scrolling, and make your summer dreams come true.

The Costa Brava is a stunning stretch of coastline in northeastern Spain. It captivates with its rugged cliffs, crystal-clear waters, and charming seaside villages.

Cala seen from the Camí de Ronda

Tossa de Mar

This medieval beach town boasts a beautifully preserved old quarter, Vila Vella, featuring cobblestone streets, ancient stone walls, and towers. Head north along the Camí de Ronda, a lush hiking trail, to discover two stunning bays: Cala Bona and Cala Pola. The azure waters are perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and diving, revealing vibrant marine life beneath the surface.

Calella de Palafrugell

Calella de Palafrugell embodies the essence of Mediterranean charm. With its whitewashed buildings, colorful fishing boats, and pristine beaches all within the village, it offers a postcard-perfect setting for relaxation and exploration.

Calella de Palafrugell also boasts a rich culinary scene, with seaside restaurants serving up fresh seafood delicacies and traditional Catalan dishes. The beachfront restaurant Tragamar must be my top pick for a delicious Arroz de Bogavante. Try it!

Blanes

As you drive up from Barcelona, Blanes marks the beginning of your Costa Brava adventure. While it may not have the same charm as other neighboring towns, Blanes boasts some truly stunning beaches just around the corner. Check out Cala Treumal and many others along the Camí de Ronda in the direction of Lloret de Mar.

Visit Blanes’ stunning Marimurtra Botanical Garden, perched atop a cliff overlooking the sea. Wander through lush gardens showcasing over 4,000 plant species from around the world and enjoy panoramic views.

Cadaqués

Cadaqués has long been a haven for artists, writers, and travelers seeking inspiration and tranquility. This charming village, known for its timeless allure and bohemian atmosphere, is clearly one of my all-time favourites!

Cap de Creus

In the untamed wilderness of Cap de Creus Natural Park, every step unveils a new wonder: secluded beaches, panoramic vistas, and the most stunning sunsets. Escape the crowds and surrender to nature's ultimate tranquility. Let Cap de Creus blow your mind!
